After 10 hours in a landrover and having slept like a log we spent the folowing day in the village, watching the preparations for a funeral that was to take place late afternoon when it would start to rain, which was said to be a good omen! - Among other things, we also went for a walk in the forest surrounding the village, where a small group of children - among many other songs - kept singing *Frère Jaques' for my wife and me! - Even at 70, events like those still belong to our most cherished memories !!
